Bruce Dickinson, as many of you know, is the heavy metal vocalist for the group Iron Maiden...but how many of us know that behind the musician lies a very accomplished mega achiever? Here, I will try to showcase the man in a nutshell and hopefully, this will be as much of an inspiration for you as it is for me :
1. The Musician and Songwriter

Lead Singer for the Heavy Metal band, Iron Maiden was what really propulsed Dickinson into fame...but his debut came with other groups like Paradox (which eventually became another heavy metal group called Styx) and Samson. With Iron Maiden, he is mostly known for their stupendous hits like "The number of the Beast", "Can I play with madness?", "Fear of the dark", "Seventh son of a seventh son" etc. Parallel to his career with the supergroup, Dickinson had a solo career that was successful, with even a "Best of" album to his name.
2. The Aviator and CEO (Aviation)

Bruce is also an accomplished aviator. Apart from regularly flying Ed Force One (the offcial transport for Iron Maiden, a Boeing 757 - 200), Bruce was also a commercial pilot for the now defunct Astraeus Airlines. Once the company shut down, Dickinson branched out with his own company, Cardiff Aviation. His role as a pilot has led him to some high profile flights which include returning stranded holiday makers, and RAF pilots from Afghanistan (2008). His company, based in Wales, looks into repairing Boeing and Airbus planes and has even provided support and developed Cargo missions for Air Djibouti.
3. The Radio Host

As a radio host, Bruce had his own radio show, "Bruce Dickinson's Rock Show" with BBC-6, music from 2002 through 2010
4. The Writer

As a writer, Dickinson has published various titles including "The Adventures of Lord Iffy Boatrace" and "The Missionary Position"
5. The Screenwriter and actor

Bruce Dickinson wrote the screenplay and music for the fantasy film, "The Chemical Wedding. He has also acted in the English series, "The Paradise Club"
6. The Businessman

In 2013, the family brewery, Robinson's Brewery launched the Trooper beer.
...And all this while beating Cancer, at the "ripe" old age of 59!
Truly a mega achiever and a source of inspiration.
